Our client is currently looking for an Senior Privacy Analyst to join the risk and compliance team. The Senior Privacy Analyst will be assisting in providing accurate, appropriate, timely and pragmatic data protection advice. Your job is to make sure all compliance and legal duties and standards are met. A Senior Privacy Analyst should also make sure the DPIA's (Data Protection Impact Assessments) have been conducted for the company, input into internal policies and procedures, as well as assist in writing reports for Committees.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Privacy Analyst
  • Support with maintaining the privacy framework within chosen application
  • Assisting with maturing and enhancing privacy compliance across the organisation
  • Provide advice to the business on their obligations and good practice with privacy by design and default and assisting with data protection training as required
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Register of Processing Activities
  • Draft data protection communications for the business and input to internal policies and procedures and maintain data protection areas of the intranet
  • Conduct comprehensive Data Protection Impact Assessments
  • Assist with writing reports for Committees
  • Conduct reviews, monitoring or testing as required
  • Review supplier audits and support monitoring
  • Undertake research, keep abreast of changes, and keep the team informed of changes to applicable legislation
  • Provide support through advice in response to requests from data subjects to exercise their rights, including but not limited to Data Subject Access Requests

Key Experience for the Senior Privacy Analyst
  • Strong/proven track record for data protection and privacy experience in a professional environment
  • Experience in financial services is essential, in insurance would be beneficial
  • Good knowledge of GDPR, PECR and Data Protection laws
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to assess risk and impact from a privacy and data protection perspective.
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication and literacy
  • Attention to detail
