In this exciting newly created role, the Commercial Director will support the CEO and COO to grow and diversify commercial products and services at The National Archives as a key member of the Executive Team.

The National Archives is home to 1000 years of our nation's histories, from the Domesday Book to Downing Street tweets, our vast collection of archival treasures is as varied as it is inspiring. As the living, growing home of our national story, our obligation is to connect with the biggest and most diverse audience possible, in the most innovative ways we can.

Already a global exemplar in the archives sector for commercial activity, the Commercial Director will build from this foundation, exploiting opportunities to further leverage our rich asset base. Working with Executive colleagues to embed an entrepreneurial culture and ethos, these enhanced commercial returns will act as enabler for accelerated change, delivering the ambitious strategic vision set out in Archives for Everyone.

You will also support and develop commercial activity outside of this direct portfolio.
