Their ambition includes doing more to share their data with others.In this role you'll use your significant experience in the analysis, interpretation and communication of data to help them realise their ambitions around the use and sharing of data, and deliver creative and exciting data visualisation approaches to bring data to life for many different audiences and purposes.Corporate Data Consultant Responsibilities:As their Corporate Data Consultant, you'll be their expert when it comes to data analytics and will lead on developing and implementing innovative methods when it comes to the use of data, to support the City Mayor and Senior Officers' understanding and decision-making across a wide range of diverse issues from tackling poverty and inequalities to air quality and climate change.Working across the organisation you'll provide support, advice and challenge to officers at all levels on data analysis and interpretation, and statistical methods.You'll draw on best practice and cutting-edge techniques, to further develop and improve their corporate data analytics and capabilities, as well as contributing to the creation of an Enterprise Data model for the organisation that delivers improved data capabilities and automation of data for analysis where possible.Corporate Data Consultant Requirements:As someone who has a passion for data, you'll have substantial experience in analysing and interpreting data and be able to help a range of different audiences using storytelling.Critical to this will be the ability to communicate, collaborate and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Excellent ICT skills along with substantial knowledge of using Excel, PowerBI, SQL or other database query language and of statistical methods, along with demonstrable experience of applying these to solve business problems will be essential, as will an understanding of data privacy and ethical considerations when applying data analytics.About our client:The city of Leicester is one of the most diverse cities in the country.
