This school is committed to improving the life chances of all children. The school sets the highest expectations in all areas of school life, so that all children can reach their full potential. Staff at this school deliver outstanding teaching, through an engaging and dynamic curriculum, which stimulates the children to be lifelong learners.
The school provides a safe and enriching environment in which all children can develop their strengths and grow in confidence. The school recognises and celebrates all cultures and beliefs within the community, to enable the children to be positive role models in society.
This school believes it is every child's right to learn essential knowledge, skills and understanding of a broad range of curriculum subjects. It is vital that they engage with their learning in an inquisitive way that will help them to remain committed to learning throughout their school careers and lives.
The school wants the children to develop the personal qualities that they need to be good citizens and to respond to the changing contexts of their future lives whilst developing a sense of their own nationality and culture and at the same time, develop a great respect for the nationalities and cultures of others.
The EYFS team prepare children for a smooth and seamless transition to KS1 by developing and modelling a range of skills that will aid this transition and prepare them for the rest of their school career.
Parent and carers are invited in for training and 'meet the class' days, where they can see learning taking place first hand, and get more information on how to support their child at home. The staff encourage an 'open door' policy, where parents enter the class every morning and settle their children, see the learning taking place and have any discussions with staff that are needed.
There is a strong emphasis on speaking and listening skills, encouraging a 'no hands up policy.' Instead we have group discussions and talk partners for each child, allowing to all talk through their learning and build up a high level vocabulary and use full sentences.
The successful applicant will be a passionate and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher who wants to work in an outstanding Primary School. NQTs and Experienced Teachers are encouraged to apply.
