We are recruiting for two Assistant Street Works and Permitting Officers to assist in the delivery of the Street Works and Permitting Team on operational, technical, performance and financial matters to ensure the efficient use of the Network Management Service.
In this post you will need a good level of technical knowledge to assist the team to co-ordinate, inspect and ensure compliance of all Street Works and Permitting activity on the highway. We need you to work as part of a team with the overall coordination and planning of works on the network in order to minimise disruption to the travelling public.
This diverse post has a varied workload including the coordination of events, daily communication with a variety of customers and groups in a range of methods and assisting in the development and use of suitable IT systems and processes.
To be successful in this role you will need to have either an ONC in an appropriate discipline, A levels or be able to demonstrate a level of competency in a highways related discipline. However relevant experience and a sound work ethic will also be considered. Excellent interpersonal skills are an absolute must.
