An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Manager to join a company who works with the hospitality industry. They provide products for Front of House, Bar Supplies, Disposables, Takeaways, Workwear etc. The role will report to the Operations Director
Identify in conjunction with the sales and the marketing department on-going ranges and review new products and slow moving lines.
Attend appropriate trade shows and supplier showrooms to review market trends.
Hold monthly reviews with Top 20 suppliers to ensure they are getting best pricing, discuss stock availability and general issues.
Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure new stock lines are added to the web and all lines are represented in current catalogue publications.
Find new suppliers and manufacturers to maximise sales opportunities through off the shelf lines or bespoke ranges for the company.
Forecast and review all stock lines to ensure correct levels are held
Maximise price negotiations in line with volumes purchased, market trends and business opportunities.
Work to purchasing budgets and KPI's and report monthly on financials
Stock control to be managed in conjunction with the Warehouse manager to ensure stock is held to efficient levels and non-moving lines are managed out of the business
Responsible for annual stock check - clear programme and when this will happen and which stock categories are checked on what timeline.
Managed and develop the Purchasing team through leadership and motivation encouraging them to gain qualifications within a given timeline.
Works closely with board of Directors and management team to develop the business and achieve the company budgeted annual turnover. Reviews and improves existing systems and policies and maximises the opportunity to use technology to streamline our business.
