Senior Management Accountant
Salary £36,000 -£38,000
Our client, who operates in the retail sector is looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant to join the team. You will assist with the control, review, analysis and reporting of all financial, commercial and operational performance aspects of the business.
*Report weekly results and KPI's for executive management
*Prepare the monthly Management Accounts as part of a team
*Providing relevant cost analysis to support the Management Accounts commentary.
*Ensure integrity of the balance sheet. Accurately reconcile, maintain and report to ensure there are no material errors.
*Prepare complex reconciliations in accordance with procedure notes, at times needing to "think outside the box".
*Investigate and resolve issues, liaising with other company staff where necessary.
*Customer and supplier due diligence checks
*Produce detailed Buyers' reports on a monthly basis.
*Assist with bank payment authorisation on a daily basis.
*Liaise with buyers, IT, warehouse, sales and customer services - it is key there are close links with these teams.
*Assist with the production of the year-end accounts and other information to support the audit process
*Help to drive continuous improvement.
This role would suit someone who is newly qualified/soon to be qualified ACCA/CIMA who has the ability to prepare complex reconciliations and go beyond the numbers. You will have excellent analytical and investigative skills and have the ability to liaise with non finance personnel. You will be driven and ambitious to develop your career within the business.
