Tradewind Voyages operates the world's largest square-rigged sailing ship, Golden Horizon, offering guests a sustainable and luxurious way to visit iconic destinations. Golden Horizon sets sail for the first time in July 2021 from the UK and then will operate globally.

We are looking for a talented and driven Management Accountant to join our team. This is a great opportunity working closely with the Finance & Commercial Director to build a high performing finance function, that will scale as the business grows.

Management Accountant - The Role
  • Management accounts complete to board report
  • Performance reporting / voyage analysis
  • Enterprise reporting to International parent company
  • Direct line management of Assistant Accountant
  • Cashflow analysis
  • Revenue analysis
  • Intergroup company reconciliations
  • Forecast to actual variance analysis
  • VAT returns and tax filings
  • Year-end accounts and audit
  • Banking responsibilities
  • Global tax GST/VAT account management
  • Working with the wider business supporting the operation
  • Assisting with Yield and Revenue forecasting
  • Systems superuser - Finance (Xero) / booking system
  • Ad hoc duties when required


Management Accountant - The Person
  • Strong experience in a similar Management Accountant/Company Accountant role is essential
  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA would be preferred, QBE considered
  • Passionate about team development and supporting others around you
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong system experience and good MS office skills including Excel and PP, Xero experience would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of TOMs and global GST would be beneficial
  • Experience within start-up environment and/or growing businesses with revenues at £30m+ would be beneficial
  • Ideally available immediately or on 1-month notice
  • Proactive approach and ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Great interpersonal skills to help build strong relationships across the business
  • Be able to communicate well with all stakeholders across the business
  • Some travel may be required


The role will be based in our Head Office in Hadleigh, Suffolk.

Pay to £40k - £45k dependant on experience / 25 days holiday / Perkbox / Company Pension
