Equity Research Analyst, UK Team, Blue Chip Asset Management Firm

A blue chip, long only asset manager is now looking to recruit a UK equity analyst into their UK Fund. The fund has a great track record and is managed by a successful and very well regarded team.

The role will work on the following:

Analysis & Research

• Identification of companies as investments through primary research including analysis of companies reports and accounts and research into industry dynamics

• Construct and keep up to date financial models of prospective and existing investments

• Monitor of investments in the portfolio including attending company results presentations, meeting with analysts and attending seminars

• Responsibility for hosting meetings with company management, ESG and monitoring proxy voting


• Keeping marketing materials up to date and liaise with other teams (sales, performance analytics, marketing and operations) to provide support to the fund's client base.

• Write thematic 'big picture' updates, monthly and quarterly fund literature

• Compile and put together ESG marketing materials

Key Skills, Experience & Personal Profile

• Buy or sell side analyst, ideally with 3 years ++ UK equity research experience

• Strong financial modelling/ accounting knowledge experience. Excel expertise required along with knowledge of Bloomberg

• Experience in fundamental analysis and meeting companies

• Role will initially include deeper analysis on chosen stocks by the Fund Managers and in time this will broaden out to greater personal idea generation and coverage and coverage of all sectors

• Experience in creating marketing materials

• Interest in completing the CFA qualification

• Desire to be an analyst in the medium to long term
