Group Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Accountant to join a global fashion brand, in Central London - Bond Street. You will be a qualified ACA accountant, looking for your first role out of practice. The company has excellent progression opportunities across the Group. Working for the property arm of the retail group, your role will be made of of analysis, project work, financial and management accounts.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Group Finance team and will support the Senior Finance Manager in delivering financial reporting for the investment portfolio. The role will be responsible for providing insightful analysis through production of timely and accurate financial information which can be used by the Property team with performance analysis and informed decision making.

  • Own the management accounts process, comparing performance to budget and investigate significant items and variances
  • Prepare the management pack for the board providing insightful commentary and analysis on financial and business information
  • Preparation of the management accounts for a limited partnership, including reconciliation of any capital expenditure in the quarter
  • Preparation of quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of property finances including supplier payments, cost control and treasury
  • Preparation of the statutory accounts under IFRS
  • Key contact throughout the audit to ensure smooth and efficient process
  • Liaising with our property management agent to understand and process costs, along with complete financial reporting
  • Support the Property team with any ad hoc analysis

Who we're looking for:

· Degree level qualification in a life science, business or other quantitative discipline

· Qualified in an accounting designation - CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW or international equivalent

· 1 year+ experience post qualification

· Experience in using Oracle EBS or Cognos would be an advantage but not essential.

· Strong numerical skills and attention to detail will be critical to the success of this role

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Fast learner with a proactive attitude, bringing innovative thoughts and a natural curiosity to the role


£50,000 per annum
