Base Location: Flexible UK
Salary: £45,200 - £67,800 depending on skills and experience + car / allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?
SSE Finance are in the early stages of a "Digital Finance" Programme which will address gaps in Data, Reporting, Process, Chart of Accounts and Technology. The Lead Finance Systems Manager will have a key role in the transition from current (TM1 and Cognos Controller) to new finance systems for the Group.
Reporting to the Head of Finance - Systems, Transformation & AR (ST&AR), the Lead Finance Systems Manager will own responsibility for managing all finance systems as well as leading the organisations finance systems team.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
-Ownership of all pre and post transformation finance system solutions, processes and applications.
-Lead, optimise and successfully deliver future integration/migration of businesses acquired/disposed of, by organisation in or out of the group's financial systems & infrastructure
-Develop, manage and transform the finance systems team of 9 people to deliver the highest quality support to the finance community and all business
-Proactively look for opportunities to make incremental enhancements and improvements to current and future finance systems, reporting and data analytics capabilities
-Drive the continuous improvement of the group's financial systems and analytics capabilities, to make them better, simpler and more effective.
What do I need?
We are looking for a qualified accountant with a proven track record of career progression in a large, dynamic organisation. You'll be well versed in delivering system change, integration, improvement and modernisation and be highly competent in writing coding languages such as SQL, R, VBA & Macros
An understanding of interpreting, structuring and optimising large commercial data sets (both financial and non-financial) will be necessary to ensure the business are able to take advantage of enhancing insight.
In addition to this, you shouldbe commercially astute with a high level of analytical skills and focus on adding value. The ability to build strong, effective working relationships using excellent stakeholder management and people leadership skills will be critical.
