Forza Talent are working exclusively for a global firm assisting with the appointment of their next Assistant Accountant. Our client has an excellent reputation within their field and with a strong sales pipeline, they are looking to add a hard-working and committed Assistant Accountant to their growing team of professionals.

This is a busy appointment and if you are looking to move away from ledger duties in the short term, then perhaps this role isn't for you. If, however, you are looking for a role where you can learn about a business from the ground up, where you don't mind dealing with all of the transactional and statutory financial duties with a view to taking on more month-end tasks as the role progresses, then this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

Key responsibilities will initially include maintaining the accounting and reporting systems and all divisional monthly tasks such as quarterly VAT, intercompany transactions, and bank reconciliations. You will be able to add value to process implementation and be constantly reviewing processes for this key division of the Group. The expectation will be that the role will grow in stature as will your exposure to other month-end reporting tasks such as management accounts preparation and project-based work.

With this in mind, our client will consider candidates at various stages of their studies and development from AAT to ACCA / CIMA. You will already have experience in an accounts assistant or ledger-based role and be an intermediate user of excel for spreadsheet work and financial / kpi reporting.
