Job Details

A medium sized, multi-disciplinary design consultancy is looking for an Associate Structural Engineer to join their London office. You will be shadowing the current Director who is due to retire in the next few years, with the view of taking their place.

The company is involved in mainly large scale structural design projects such as tower blocks. They are also heavily involved in temporary works design. Your role will be managerial and business development focussed. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of clients they can bring work in with. You will be doing some design checks but will mainly be managing technical staff rather than being hands on yourself.

The company has offices in the UK, Ireland, Africa and are expanding into South America over the next year or so. There are about 50 staff in the London office and around 160 in the company as a whole.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Structural Engineering and be Chartered with either the IstructE or ICE. You must be ambitious and be used to being client facing as well as a strong technical background.

The company will consider applicants at Principal Engineer level, seeking an Associate role or current Associate looking for further career progression towards a Director role in the next few years.
