We are working with an exciting public sector organisation who are looking for Procurement or Commissioning experts with experience in Adult and Children's Social Care Services and the procurement of those services. This is part of an exciting journey to transform and modernise their procurement function. The organisations new Procurement Strategy for 2021 to 2025 is now operational and this role is key to that plan.
We are recruiting a Procurement Specialist to work within the 'People and Governance' Strategic Procurement Team within Procurement Services; a department of Corporate Resources specifically looking at Adult and Children's Social Care.
This wide-ranging role will provide both strategic and operational procurement support for high value and complex procurements primarily to the departments of Health and Wellbeing and Children's Services but with opportunities to work more generally across the whole organisation. Key to this role is an understanding of Health and Social Care Procurement and Contracts with a knowledge of engaging with key service providers.
Confident, flexible and a strong team player, you will need to be comfortable with taking the lead on projects, working closely with internal colleagues and external partners, and using your own initiative.
You will need to be a procurement or commissioning practitioner who is capable of:
*delivering and guiding others in delivery of high-quality procurement processes that achieve value for money, legal compliance, and tangible social value
*supporting continuous improvement of the procurement function
*experienced and knowledgeable in Adults and Children's Health and Social Care Services
