Job Title: Ecommerce Content Manager

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 plus bonus

Location: North West London

We're working on behalf of an established Charity that in part raises funds through the retail of second hand and vintage clothing. The successful Ecommerce Content Manager will be an important figure in the Charities growth plans, which stongly incorporates harnessing existing eCommerce sites and apps to transition towards selling products online via sites such as eBay, Depop, Vinted and more.

What makes this eCommerce Content Manager job unique, is that the role will evolve and whilst it has hands-on content related duties, at its core, this job is all about shaping the future of the Charities online eCommerce presence in terms of strategy, branding, merchandising, marketing, data and re-targeting.

The role comes with two key areas of responsibility:

Firstly, the eCommerce Content Manager will take ownership of the hands-on listing and logistics of creating and editing images of products, written content to describe and maximise in terms of SEO and organic rankings and then list products to eBay and in future, similar sites and apps. This cycle includes the packaging and shipping/logistics too.

Secondly, the successful Ecommerce Content Manager will work towards growing the online sales of the Charity, by shaping, developing and implementing the ongoing strategy including:
  • Establishing new income streams via different online platforms
  • Working with the Logistics and eCommerce manager
  • Developing online procedures, systems and operating guidelines to fellow team members
  • Work with the communications team todrive sales and awareness of the online offering through website content and social media
  • Implement weekly reporting through Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Contribute to future planning and online sales development
  • Stay on top of market conditions, tailoring stock mix to ensure maximisation of sales through seasons
  • Competitor analysis
  • Google Analytics
  • Promote Gift Aid

Skills Needed
  • 2-3 years in content marketing, ideally around online retail
  • Experience of eBay and other selling and buying platforms such as Depop and Vinted
  • Social media and website content
  • Strong understanding of digital tools for content, eCommerce and more, so that longer-term objectives can be planned for and implemented
  • Experience in pricing and listing retail products online
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Imagination and Initiative
  • Ability to implement change effectively
