SF Group are looking for a Internal Communications Manager for a client in B5. Paying around £34500.
The Internal Communications Manager (ICM) is responsible for designing and implementing the day-to-day flow of timely updates, news and organisational communications across the Islamic Relief family, namely between field offices (IRFOs), partners (IRPs) and the international head office. The role of the ICM is to ensure existing internal communications processes, technologies and resources are well utilised and coordinated in order to improve cross-organisational communications and messaging to support leadership in delivery of the clients mission. The role involves managing activities and also working with counterparts within IRP and IRFO levels, acting as a point of contact for all internal communications activities.
The jobholder is accountable for fulfilling his other roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic Relief's values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of their colleagues and staff.
The jobholder will report to the Head of Publications and Operations regularly, on the basis of the IR Global Strategy and annually defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
o Developing and delivering the organisation's internal communication strategy, planning and calendar of activity, supporting us to increase levels of employee engagement.
o Leading and/or supporting the development and delivery of internal communication plans and materials for large change programmes fundamental to the organisation's operating model and external delivery.
o Lead on the maintain of new the engagement platform Microsoft SharePoint, which we see as integral to the future of our organisational communications.
o Providing expert internal communications advice and support to senior stakeholders, including the board of director and CEO, on critical decisions and messages that affect employees.
o Driving the creation of an employee brand and a more consistent 'look and feel' for Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) internal communications.
o Overseeing our established internal communications channels (e.g. intranet, employee newsletters, email announcements) while reviewing and developing our channel mix, considering the needs of all employee audiences across clients and coordinating monthly and annual recognition awards, aligned to our values
o Devising and implementing new internal communications best practice guidelines that can be understood and followed across the organisation, allowing a consistent approach to local communications delivery.
o Overseeing the measurement of internal communications & engagement activity, linked to our values and core Communications KPIs.
o Designing, implementing and analysing results of employee engagement surveys and other engagement initiatives, using outcomes to help drive organisational improvement.
o Keeping up to date with good practice and developments in internal communications & engagement, leveraging external networks where appropriate.

o Experience of managing internal communications in a complex corporation
o Experience of developing and implementing internal communications strategies and measuring their effectiveness
o Experience with the tools of internal communications including intranet systems, email marketing software and face-to-face events
o Experience training and supporting communicators and non-communicators to create key messages and deliver engaging and timely communications with staff in mind
o Proven experience of writing copy for a variety of audiences across a range of media, including print and digital - ensuring outputs are engaging and accurate
o Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to communicate and engage professionally with all stakeholders
o Strong knowledge of window-based software packages, intranet content management systems for digital channels and social networking and collaborative working tools for internal communications
o An internal communicator with a flair for digital communications and technical aptitude
