Job Details

Reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing, this is a richly varied role, supporting the development and implementation of global communications and marketing strategy including financial and corporate PR, digital, brand and internal communications. This is a maternity cover contract for 6-12 months.

The business is a global leader within the investment management sector and the teams invest across a diverse range of strategies and asset classes. They have highly specialised approaches with long only and alternative strategies run on a discretionary and quantitive basis in single and multi-manager formats.



Responsibilities
  • Managing corporate and product PR at a group and investment engine level with a focus on the UK, Europe and Asia
  • Assisting the team with preparation for financial communications around results
  • Managing the implementation of internal communications activities globally, including supporting communication of the firm's D&I initiatives both internally and externally
  • The role will require the candidate to develop a strong understanding of the firm's strategy, messages and sales objectives across a range of geographical areas in order to effectively support strategic and tactical reputational activity globally
  • Helping to manage the firm's global network of PR agencies
  • Acting as a liaison with Marketing on the firm's social media activity
  • Coordinating with relevant internal teams as required, including Sales, Investor Relations, Company Secretary, Legal, Compliance, Human Resources and investment and management teams
  • Working with the team to deliver the firm's daily newsletter
  • Coordinate and draft corporate-level awards submissions


Key Skills & Experience
  • Must have worked at Account Director level or above in a corporate comms agency or PR Manager level in-house
  • Must have strong understanding of asset management and experience targeting institutional and retail investment trade media in the UK with pan-European and/or Asia experience desirable
  • Real estate media experience would also be useful
  • Will be an excellent writer who is confident drafting press releases, Q&As, PR strategy documents and briefing notes
  • Will be a highly organised, efficient worker with a confident and calm manner under pressure when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Takes a friendly, collaborative, team player approach to executing work
  • Issues management experience desirable, but not essential
