We are an established Managed Services Provider based in Chelsea Harbour, London.We provide bespoke IT service and function to a variety of market sectors with special focus on property and Healthcare.

We operate a 24/7 support team and service desk running key web, application and infrastructure platforms throughout the UK and Europe.We have a dedicated presence in key strategic Tier 4 datacentres in both the UK and Berlin and a dedicated diverse MPLS transit backbone across multiple geographical locations.

Security and professionalism are key to our business make up, with all staff being ITIL v3 qualified and the business having achieved both ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials accreditation.

We support have a variety of businesses with a particular focus on healthcare.We understand the priorities these businesses work toward supporting key workers both in the NHS and private sector.

In Europe we maintain a presence supporting key suppliers to the German health markets, meaning 24/7 availability and performance is critical.

Overall job purpose for the cloud specialist:

We are looking to appoint an Amazon AWS OR Azure/Office 365 Cloud Specialist with experience of supporting Cloud & Virtual Platforms solutions at 2nd/3rd and even 4th line level. The cloud specialist will be responsible for maintaining multiple customer platforms to improve security, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to work in a forward thinking and fast paced technical environment, with a good split between BAU and project work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cloud Infrastructure with real-world experience that goes beyond IaaS (PaaS, SaaS, Microservices, Containers, Serverless) and demonstratable Cloud Engineering knowledge.

Experience in deploying and standardising suitable baseline vanilla environments will also form a key part of this role.

Key Responsibilities for the cloud Specialist:
  • Automation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of operational cloud services, related tools, and pipelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends (e.g., AWS and OpenStack Roadmaps) and upcoming developments relevant to cloud services.
  • Assist in investigation of cloud-related technologies, products, methods, and techniques to assess their potential benefit to the business.
  • Assist with the design, build and delivery of new customer cloud systems in line with industry and vendor best practice.
  • Work with customer and stakeholder groups to agree working relationships and (where applicable) collaborative workflows, responsibilities, and service levels.
  • Support and adhere to associated service management models within any given customer environment.
  • Lead configuration reviews to ensure existing cloud platforms follow recognised best practice.
  • Actively support Security and Resilience Improvement Programmes across the enterprise, both centrally and within business segments.

·Provide input to the business library of documentation, including runbooks, frameworks, guidance, and good practice for consumption by development and operations teams across the business.

·Work closely with Security & Compliance team to create and maintain secure cloud environments ensuring all areas are clearly detailed and documented for future reference.

Skills & Experience for the Cloud Specialist:

·Deep understanding of Azure data protection and security architecture - Security Centre (Secure Score), Azure Key Vault, Network Security Groups, Azure AD Identity Protection and Privileged Identity Management.

·Prove experience of Azure Sentinel deployments

·3+ years' experience administering Microsoft Azure/O365 in SME businesses.

·Demonstratable experience and execution of security automation, and configuration of Azure cloud native tools to maximise their effectiveness.

·The ability to apply security principles and good practice to manage risk, e.g., authentication, role-based access, and encryption.

·Microsoft Azure certifications, ideally Azure Security Engineer and Azure Solutions Architect.

·Strong security and governance experience (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials +)

·The ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·Up to date with industry trends and developments.

·PowerPlatform (PowerApps, Dynamics 365, PowerBI & Power Automate) support and escalation.

·Managed Service Provider experience preferred but not essential.

·Any Wintel and VMware software support skills as well as enterprise networking and storage experience are also a benefit.

·Microsoft Qualifications desired (but not essential) - Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect

Working Conditions for the Cloud Specialist:

The role will be based in our prestigious Chelsea office, but the successful candidate may be required to provide support and travel to other sites in the UK and Europe as required.

Remote working is also supported within the business.
