Based in Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, PA1 1TR.

Main duties of the post will include supporting the Payroll Coordinators by ensuring payroll processes are carried-out accurately and timeously.

It is essential that you have relevant experience operating in a payroll team, dealing with various payroll activity including processing expenses and subsistence payments, pensions, overtime, basic sick pay calculations, maternity/paternity/and adoption payments and have knowledge and understanding of Masterfile, processes and deductions which can be processed through a payroll team.

In addition, you must have effective numeracy and IT skills with the ability to communicate effectively dealing with enquiries from managers, supervisors, employees and a range of agencies; have a level of accuracy in your work; be able to work to tight deadlines and work as part of a team.

It is desirable that you have experience of operating a multi payroll system; using Business World, the Council's payroll system or similar system and understand the roles and responsibilities within a busy integrated payroll and personnel team.
