Job Details

Reporting into the Global CFO and working closely with the Regional Financial Controller and Head of UK, the incumbent will be responsible for all activities related to finance, accounting, financial management reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, FP&A, treasury, tax & legal functions and support company operations, as the company grows in the UK and potentially in EMEA in the future.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly and quarterly UK financial reporting
  • Create monthly and annual budgets, cashflow forecasts and control activities
  • Liaise with HR and external accountants to ensure payroll transactions are efficiently and correctly posted and control accounts are regularly reconciled and cleared
  • Perform cash managing roles and oversee accounts payable, receivable, disbursment of cash/expense claims, payroll and bank settlement functions
  • Liaise with the global Finance Team including APAC and North America to ensure intercompany balances and compliance with audits are fulfilled
  • Respond to external audit queries
  • Review of potential income sources to ensure all invoices are raised promptly and revenue collected
  • Review postings of expenditure against budgets
  • Oversee tax management (VAT, R&D tax credits).
  • Support other internal functions i.e. EdTech, HR, Sales, Operations

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' accounting experience
  • Fully qualified e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Hands on person, capable of taking the outsourced function in-house.
  • Candidates from a growth start-up company either in EdTech or any other SaaS business will be highly looked upon
  • Highly detail orientated, analytical, accurate and reliable
  • Responsible and organised, able to meet deadlines
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Additional skills in PowerPoint, Databases and financial software (e.g. Sage) would be beneficial
  • Good communication skills
