Early Years Practitioner
Kirkliston Nursery School

Salary: £22,129 - £26,393 (pro-rata for sessional 39 weeks)
Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks per year

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and creative practitioner to join our nursery team, to contribute to the continuing development and delivery of high-quality experiences for our 3-5 year old pupils. Our nursery supports 70 pupils and will continue with this as we move to offering 1140 hours on a term time basis next session. Kirkliston Nursery School is part of Kirkliston Primary School and situated a short walk from the school. Staff maintain links with the school and work collaboratively.

The successful candidate will show strong teamwork and communication skills, and have experience of working with 3-5 year old children.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
