Band 7 Team Leader Occupational Therapy Buchan,

Full Time 37.5 hours per week. (Permanent)

An interesting and challenging opportunity has arisen based at Peterhead Community Hospital

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to be the Team Leader for Occupational Therapy in Buchan, based in Peterhead Community Hospital. This post is within a well established Multi Disciplinary Team. The post holder will operationally manage the Occupational Therapy Team in Buchan and clinically provide full assessment and treatment programmes as part of the multi disciplinary. We provide Priority Response to prevent hospital admission and support discharge using a rehab and enablement model. The post holder will also provide community rehabilitation and enablement within the Buchan area. There is a wide variety of conditions and complex needs in the patient population. Multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working is essential for seamless community care and Occupational Therapy is a vital part of this. This post holder will be part of a very supportive Team Leaders Group from across Aberdeenshire.

The post holder will require excellent communication and organisational skills.

Supervision and allocation of work to Occupational Therapists and Occupational therapy support Workers, and training of students are integral parts of the job, as is service development within the Area and the Health and Social Care Partnership Teams.

Experience in team management, caseload management and physical rehabilitation in the community is desirable, along with a valid UK driving licence and a car available for business use.

We offer regular support, supervision, CPD and development opportunities in line with e-KSF.
