This is an exciting time to join us as we undertake a number of digital transformation projects, including the introduction of a new Finance System.
The finance function at Highlands & Islands Airports (HIAL) is undergoing a period of change to the finance and aviation billing system during 2021.This is a major investment which will deliver an improved enterprise management system for the company.
We are looking for a person with a strong background in finance and accounting to support the Finance Management Team in the provision of a constant accounting service and providing the financial information required to manage the business during this period of change.
This is a varied role which will support both the day to day finance function as well as preparing for, and implementation of the new systems. It will suit a person part way through an accountancy qualification, newly qualified of qualified by experience. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of relevant experience, applying your analytical skills and being at ease with interpreting financial data quickly.
You will have strong spreadsheet skills and be able to manipulate large volumes of data in order to present it in a meaningful way. Experience of working in finance throughout a change of systems would be desirable. You will be organised, a self-starter and able to work without supervision. You will pay close attention to detail, have an enquiring mind, be flexible, calm under pressure and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Whilst the base for the role is Head Office (at Inverness Airport), and there will be a requirement (once restrictions allow) to attend Head Office, we have a flexible approach to working and can consider home working for applicants based at any of our airport locations.
