This post is pivotal in ensuring that the administrative and waiting list services effectively support the clinical management of patients within the Urology and Outpatient Services Team (North Sector). You will be responsible for leading and managing the secretarial and clerical staff, and work directly with the Clinical Service Manager to support achievement and maintenance of the key performance indicators. Management of waiting times for this specialty is a key objective where you will be required to undertake a flexible approach in ensuring optimal utilisation of theatres and clinics working in conjunction with the Clinical Service Manager and clinical team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a person with admin and waiting list experience and keen to advance their career. A good knowledge of waiting times targets and Treatment Time Guarantee is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential in order to exert influence and develop constructive working relationships with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff and patients, as well as good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
