Trainee Lifting Equipment Examiner
About the role
We're looking to recruit a Trainee Equipment Examiner to inspect, control, certify and calibrate a range of manual lifting and other specialist equipment including hoists, shackles and slings. Full training will be provided on all equipment and qualifications will be attained during the training programme.
You will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is tracked via the safety system for all goods in and out, maintaining safety and that all certification paperwork is issued prior dispatch.
You will also support all operational projects throughout the UK with regular site visits to ensure equipment is kept in a safe and serviceable condition and within all its certification / calibration requirements.
What do I need to do the role?
Ideally you will have some previous experience in the inspection and testing of manual lifting equipment. If this was also in an Industrial / Engineering environment would be a distinct advantage, although full training will be provided.
You must be able to work on your own initiative, demonstrating a thorough, and methodical approach with an eye for detail.
You will also have Manual Handling experience, and be prepared to undertake any relevant training/qualifications.
What else do I need to know?
There may be very occasional travel to other sites (potentially once every 6 months) which may require an overnight stay.
We are happy to talk about flexible working. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
