Electrical Engineer
We are looking to recruit a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to work within our engineering team.

The job involves helping to deliver excellent customer service by maintaining the electrical aspects of company vehicles to the standard required by the Company and DVSA in order to achieve maximum vehicle availability.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
  • The inspection, diagnosis, electrical maintenance and repair of all company vehicles including buses, vans and coaches
  • Receive, handle safely, store or deploy materials appropriate to the task being undertaken
  • Carry out vehicle electrical installation, modification and fault diagnosis, using diagnostic equipment
  • Undertake electrical repairs

The successful applicant must be able to work unsupervised to company and DVSA standards and have experience of working with PCV or HGVs. A City and Guilds, Level 3/NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering, or equivalent is essential as is a full manual driving licence.

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 7am until 3pm and an early finish of 2pm on a friday. The ideal candidate will have an ability to stay calm under pressure, to prioritise workload, and to work to a high degree of accuracy. You will be a good team player and be able to communicate appropriately at all levels.
