You're role will be to ensure that the organisation complies with all aspects of NICEIC accreditation, other registration bodies including the MCS and to communicate those requirements to the Contract Management Team and all electricians working for or on behalf of the business. You would be the technical representative for NICEIC & MCS.

The Qualifying Supervisor Role:

+ Provide any technical support as required and have contact with customers across the contract portfolio in relation to our NICEIC accreditation.
+ There will also be a requirement to install non-standard complex Solar PV and battery solutions and train our electricians on how to install these jobs.

You will be accountable for the following:

+ The QS’s (RP) fundamental responsibility lies with the quality and compliance of the day-to-day Work of the business.
+ Ensuring that the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports.
+ Ensuring that the business’ premises, equipment, documentation and records are available for inspection when required by NICEIC.
+ Safeguarding all unused NICEIC forms of certification and reporting any loss, theft or misuse
+ To advise electricians and the management team on any technical / electrical matters. Typically, NICEIC requirements on projects, planned maintenance and reactive jobs.
+ Inspect Electrical certification issued by all electrician within the business.
+ Completing the Minor Works and Installation Certificates on completion of any electrical installations or alterations.
+ To conduct technical interviews with electricians that are looking to join our business.
+ Test and Inspect a % of the products we purchase and products that are pre-fabricated in-house
+ Investigate any non-conformities from a technical perspective
+ Regular training for incumbent and new electricians that we bring on board

About You:

+ Gained experience in both commercial and industrial environments
+ Have at least two consecutive years supervisory or managerial responsibility for the standard of electrical installation work
+ Understand the Electricity at Work Regulations, current edition of BS 7671, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.
+ City & Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Part 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
+ City & Guilds Inspection and Testing 2391 (or be willing to complete within 6 months of appointment)
+ 18th Edition
+ Hold a current ECS/CSCS Card
+ Solar PV Qualification
+ Experience in installing Solar PV systems – New Build and Non-Standard
