Health Education England has responsibility for general practice specialty training and the continuing professional development of established general practitioners throughout London.
A GP Training Programme Director post has become available at the Greenwich Specialty Training Programme to work alongside the existing 2 TPDs with a view to starting from 1st June 2021.
The post will be for 2 sessions a week and based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The scheme half day release is held on a Wednesday.
Programme Directors are responsible for providing education in a safe environment for doctors wanting to become GPs. This involves planning, facilitating and evaluating the process of learning. There will be support from the other Programme Directors within the scheme.
The postholder will be an MRCGP qualified GP who is working as a clinician in the NHS and has an enthusiasm for the support of GP trainees, and the delivery of effective post graduate education.
