Base Location: Forbury Place, Reading (This role has the option to work from home along with 2 days per week in the Reading office)

Salary: £32,900 -£49,300plus bonus and car allowance experience car + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent Full Time Flexible working options available

What is the Role?

We are setting up a brand-new Procurement team in SSE Telecoms and implementing a new ERP system in Workday. This is an opportunity to play an integral role from the start of the team being built and influence the way it moves forward. Come join and us be a part of creating something new.

Our Procurement Team are responsible for helping the business to procure services and materials in a timely and cost-effective way. We work right across SSE Telecoms, ensuring our business gets the best possible service and value from our supplier network, as well as ensuring all are compliant, continue to meet contractual obligations and our business need.

What do I need?

Procurement experience in a similar industry preferred with experience of ERP procurement systems are essential (Workday desirable). Demonstrable experience of leading / managing small teams, detailed knowledge of Company procurement policy and procedures.

Ability to define and deliver solutions to meet business challenges with knowledge of Procurement system processes.

Numerate with highly developed drafting and writing skills.

Stakeholder Focused, Influencing, Strategic thinking, Tactical management

Confidence to challenge the norm and think creatively.

Self-motivated, resilient along with good organisational skills

Works independently, target focused and result driven, strong ability to bring about change, energetic and driven taking a hands-on approach

Develops an atmosphere of confidence, respect, and trust, acts as a role model within the team, strong service and customer orientation

Delivers on tasks effectively, produces high quality outputs in a timely fashion & builds relationship across all levels of the organisation, as well as externally

Process skills; Business Stakeholder Management, Benchmarking, Performance Metrics, Cost & Value Efficiencies, Internal Demand Reviews, Risk Management, Evaluation and analysis, Continuous Improvement

Management and prioritisation of tasks for self and team to ensure deadlines and objectives are achieved
