This post is funded by Worldwide Roar/Sport Allies (http://www.sportallies.org/) and is centred on the 'Athletes for Action: Masculinity, Allyship and Inclusion' project - an international qualitative research project examining an innovative process to empower sportsmen as agents of change for LGBT inclusion, gender equality and better male mental health. The project is a collaboration between Leeds Beckett University and the University of Calgary and features a participant-centred research approach which prioritises athlete voices and choices to capture participant perspectives before, during and after their contribution to the Worldwide Roar.
The successful applicant will be based in the Psychology department, the largest subject within the School of Social Sciences at Leeds Beckett University. We are proud of our strong research and enterprise culture, and our health psychologists have been especially successful in attracting external funding for research projects.
Candidates should have an emerging research profile in the area of 'masculinities', including publications.
