This Training Provider has a position for an experienced Functional Skills Team Manager to join their delivery team.

This Functional Skills Team Manager will manage a team of national English and Maths Tutors who deliver structured programmes online and face to face and bespoke 1-2-1 experiences all dependent on what is needed to ensure success.
The primary base of the role is in the North West, however regional and national travel will be required.
Typical duties for the Functional Skills Manager will include:
" Line management of Tutors and other delivery colleagues
" Conducting regular performance management reviews based on learner achievement and experience
" Ensuring initial assessment and induction for all learners, to ensure learners are on the right programme and level, and where relevant have the range within the job role to achieve their chosen programme
" Work in partnership with, internal and external key stakeholders to develop and embed an innovative curriculum with supporting schemes of work and learning resources, ensuring there are appropriate plans in place to review annually
" Hold regular standardisation meetings to ensure the implementation and understanding of learner journey processes is consistent across the team, and learning coaches have an opportunity to share good practice
" Monitor learner achievement and progression monthly and ensure intervention plans are in place when learners do not meet their expected progress
" Plan and timetable exams across the team ensuring invigilation is organised and exams are conducted in line with the awarding organisations requirements and that the AO exams are appropriate for learners
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge required for the Functional Skills Team Manager
" Proven track record in managing performance through people in an educational setting
" Up to date knowledge and experience of Functional Skills management and delivery
" Knowledge and understanding of relevant quality assurance systems particularly the common inspection framework related to further education and skills
" Knowledge and understanding of the Apprenticeship Reform agenda
" Proven track record managing programmes in line with contract requirements, funding rules, and quality standards
" Experience in managing client relationships and delivering an excellent learner experience leading to high achievement rates is a must.
" Hold a recognised Teaching Award such as PTLLS, Award in Education and Training
" Experience developing practical learning programmes and managing the contracts in line with the agreed budget
" Full UK Driving License and own vehicle
