VACCINE DISTRIBUTION MANAGER (Lead Pharmacy Technician)

Salary Scale £32,118 - £39,560 per annum
We have an opportunity for a patient-focussed, enthusiastic qualified pharmacy technician to lead the delivery of our established vaccine programme alongside the current COVID19 schedule providing professional pharmaceutical services across NHSH.
The successful applicant will lead the team providing staff training and development. They will manage, organise and participate in the daily activities of the Vaccine Holding Centre based in the Pharmacy at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. Duties will include daily supervision and management of vaccine distribution to a wide geographical area, managing logistical issues and liaising with vaccination teams as necessary.
To effectively manage this service the post holder will contribute to the work of the local Immunisation Group, participate in the Scottish Pharmacy Immunusation Group, develop a network for communication, planning and co-operation of the Vaccine Holding Centres across NHS Highland and work with the QA department to implement service improvements.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential attributes.
You must be a qualified pharmacy technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) with relevant hospital and post qualification experience.
The department has an excellent team of friendly Pharmacy staff committed to service modernisation and to developing the role of pharmacy technicians and support staff. We encourage our team to undertake further training and aim to support this as much as possible.
You will be required to participate in departmental rotas for weekend working and public holidays. Application for flexible /part time working will be considered.
