We are on the look out for an experienced interim finance professional to support one of our clients following a recent sale of the business. They require an Interim Senior Management Accountant that is used to hitting the ground running and can operate in a fast paced, changing environment. Alongside supporting them with the month end process, the finance systems are also due to change and therefore someone with strong systems experience would be advantageous.
Reporting into the Financial Controller this Interim Senior Management Accountant role will involve the following: -
-Manage the financial PO reporting, accruals and reconciliations for the purchasing process.
-Prepare and process month end journals.
-Balance sheet reconciliations.
-Month end variance analysis and other month end reports.
-Review VAT return.
-Foreign currency transactions.
-Review Inventory transaction analysis and processes.
-Stock take and a close collaboration with stores staff including reconciliations.
-Fixed asset register & depreciation maintenance.
-All month end duties up to and including the first draft of the variance analysis.
The jobholder will also provide cover for the Assistant Accountant in the event of holiday and sickness absence, or when the workload requires. These tasks will include but not be limited to: -
-Responsible for processing invoices, for the accurate reporting and recording of required budgetary information in line with Company guidelines.
-Tracks and logs invoices for processing and payment.
-Deals with any day-to-day accounting queries.
-Produce Customer invoices and statements.
-Manages the credit control function.
-Daily banking duties.
-Assist with the cash forecast
-Month and year end reconciliation of ledgers.
You will ideally be a qualified accountant that is a confident contractor that can hit the ground running. You must have a strong background within management accounting and be extremely self-motivated.
