IT Support Analyst / Engineer required by IT Solutions company based in Blackburn, Lancashire. Salary £22,000 - £25,000 + Overtime, depending on skills and experience.
Established for over 25 years, we supply a range of IT solutions including end user computing, networking infrastructure, AV and security systems, cloud computing, VOIP telephone systems & broadband and systems management to our client base nationwide.
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and proactive IT Support Analyst/Network Engineer to join our friendly team assisting our clients with hardware and software problems and service requests via phone, email and in person on site. This is a diverse, exciting, and challenging role with access to work on multiple and varied desktop and server platforms, infrastructures, and applications.
The successful applicant will work largely in the North West, will be flexible in their approach and will be happy to work nationally with some overnight stays and work overtime as and when required. -Monitor and maintain systems and networks.
-Installation, configuration, and management of systems
-Diagnose faults and solve technical issues by phone, email or in person at the client site.
-Manage servers (in physical and virtual environments), implementing GPO and synchronisation with cloud technologies (Office 365)
-Work to SLA's
-Manage the helpdesk and mentoring junior colleagues.
-Communicate clearly to clients in non-technical jargon.
Essential Technical Skills - In-depth knowledge of hardware and software along with an up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT and software trends including:
-Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
-Windows Operating Systems
-Windows Desktop Applications
-Active Directory administration
-Configuration of hardware & software
-General networking support (LAN, WAN, VPN)
You will be an IT professional capable of providing first class IT support with the ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies. Excellent problem solving, organisational, and customer service skills are essential as is a full and clean driving license with own vehicle. You will be a self-starter, able to work on your own initiative and out of hours at times.
