This is a stand-alone Finance role managing all the financial aspect for 3 small companies. Reporting to MD. The group is in a joint venture with a leading private equity firm and has one 15-bed luxury care home trading with a turnover of £2.5 million. The business is currently developing three other luxury sites all in Central London, opening between mid to 2021 to early 2022.
The role will be based at the companies head office in the beautiful neighbourhood of South Kensington. The role will be primarily based in the head office with regular visits to the care home(s) around London.
The role encompasses the processing and payment runs for suppliers, bank reconciliations, approving sales invoices, credit control, VAT returns, payroll, preparation of monthly accounts including month end schedules, monthly reporting to the UK & US investors, preparation of annual budgets and ½ year reforecasting.
The Accountant will also oversee the financial work of the receptionist at each care home who will process purchase invoices including approval and prepare the payment runs. The role will be report to the Managing Director and will include liaising with the private equity partner's (PEP) accountants; attending the PEP and UK monthly management meetings.
Background: good SME background with plenty hands on experience, including looking after more than one company i.e. managed a small group, a hands-on finance professional interested in developing and growing with the company. (real estate, care and healthcare and bonus).
Qualifications: Qualified by Experience (QBE), Part Qualified - preferably AAT-trained
Personality: An approachable, self-motivated, confident, process-driven and organized accountant who is resilient and with the ability to challenge appropriately. Good communication skills, polite and tactful. Will be liaising with families and stakeholders of high net worth.
Salary: + private healthcare + pension.
