Senior Software Engineer

£40,000 to £45,000 (dependent on experience) + 24 Days Holiday + Contributory Pension (Up to 5%) + Perkbox Benefits + Career Development

Bristol - Remote Working Available

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Senior Software Engineer required for a global leading service provider based in central Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer or a Software Engineer looking to step up into a senior position within a collaborative team who work on industry leading technology in the media industry and can offer long term career development opportunities.

To apply for this role, you will be a Software Engineer with Python/Django/JavaScript/C++ experience. Candidates must have experience in a commercial or research (e.g. postgraduate) environment.

The successful candidate will be joining a team which creates new products and develops and maintains existing products. You will spend a portion of your time coding but will also be involved in specification analysis, software design, code review and documentation, therefore an analytical approach is required.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be given the opportunity to lead projects and lead software teams.

The Role:

* Design, development and support of testing products
* Working in teams to develop testing products using languages/frameworks such as Python/Django/C++/JavaScript

The Person:

* Experience as a Software Engineer in a commercial or research (e.g. postgraduate) environment
* Experience and demonstrable skills with a high-level programming language (e.g. Python, C++. JavaScript) and a desire to work with new languages / technologies
* Any experience in the Broadcast Industry would be highly advantageous but is not mandatory
* An analytical approach and a keen eye for detail
