Applause IT is currently recruiting for an experienced Java Developer to join this fast-growing software house based in Wythenshawe.

The successful Java Developer will be joining a small and close-knit software development team who practice full bodied Agile. The business is renowned for their innovative data analytics software, which is used by many of the UK's biggest brand names to optimise their marketing campaigns. Joining the team as a Java Developer you will be working on cutting-edge technology with a stack that consists of Java 8, Spring, Hibernate, Node.js, MySQL, JavaScript, and more. The business is undergoing an exciting period of growth and has received unprecedented demand for their product during the COVID pandemic.

This is an ideal opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level Java Developer to join an innovative software house who are growing and can offer excellent career prospects. The company culture is non-corporate and relaxed, yet still professional, and there is a big emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. You will have solid commercial experience programming with Java and working on web-based software product. This is a full stack role and so, any experience with JavaScript and a modern JS framework e.g. React would be advantageous.

Essential skill:
  • Experience developing a software product or system written in Java
  • An understanding of relational databases
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of Spring technologies such as, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data
  • Experience with MySQL
  • Front-end experience with JavaScript

Office location: Wythenshawe, near Manchester Airport and easily commutable from most areas of Manchester

Remote working: The successful Java Developer will join the team on a 100% working from home basis, due to COVID-19. However, regular office work will be required in the future and so candidates should live within a commutable distance of Manchester Airport.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
