SENIOR PHP DEVELOPER, Manchester city centre

£50,000 - £60,000

Manchester (3 days a week from home post-pandemic)

I'm on the lookout for a Senior PHP Developer to join a fintech start-up company based in Manchester city centre. This company have over 1 million customers and are looking to double in size during 2021.

This Senior PHP Developer will be proficient in an MVC framework such as Laravel, Symfony or CodeIgniter whilst also having strong mentoring skills. You will be given the opportunity to lead exciting projects and build new functions within the company. Furthermore, there will be 2 week sprints which will be done in squads as the team is grown out.

They are building a brand new platform which means they need more senior PHP developers who are able to code effiently whilst being strong with test-driven development. Ideally, you will be able to build code architecture from scratch and be able to lead on fast-paced projects. This will be an opportunity for somebody looking to be part of an empire, which is only going to grow and improve in the years to come.

You will report into the principle developer who looks after the entire development team. This person will give guidance and lead projects, but also allow you to create ideas of how the culture can keep improving - it really is a great place to work.

You will have experience in:

Building scalable, robust systems from sratch using modern architecture.

Working with modern MVC frameworks, ideally Symfony, Laravel or CodeIgniter

Restful API's

Test-driven development

SQL databases (MYSQL, Postgres etc.

Desired skills:

AWS or another cloud technology.

Ability to lead on projects and offer guidance to less experienced developers
