Fully remote, 12 month contract - Can be based anywhere in Europe
Are you a Ruby Developer looking for a new Challenge? Perhaps you're a Ruby Developer keen to work with one of the biggest tech giants in Europe on a fully remote basis for 12 months? Then I may have just the role for you! As the Ruby Developer you will be joining a company who behind the scenes embark on high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity. You will need to have strong experience in Ruby and ideally Rails. They're also happy to consider full stack Ruby developers with strong ReactJS experience. (There are multiple roles)
Ruby Developer Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a full stack product team to develop solutions to ensure optimal experiences for our customers, riders, and restaurants
  • Utilise a variety of backend technologies to build scalable products
  • You'll take part in decisions related to how we undertake new projects
  • You'll gather requirements and scope out projects with the rest of the team
Ruby Developer Requirements:
  • Pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested software
  • 5 or more years professional experience writing web-based applications in any language, and a willingness to quickly get up to speed on our stack (Ruby/Rails)
  • Experience with TDD environments (RSpec, Minitest, Capybara, Selenium)
  • Experience with relational databases (PostGreSQL, MySQL) and key-value stores (Memcache, Redis)
  • Experience with front-end web technology, bonus points for React
  • Experience solving logistical problems with software
