High-value international corporate/funds work - major lifestyle advantages - based Jersey
This market-leading offshore firm offers lawyers exposure to some truly outstanding corporate and investment funds work. Joining an impressive team, you will be advising international clients on the Jersey law elements of major cross-border deals. With smaller team sizes you will quickly notice that your levels of responsibility, involvement and client contact are high, making it an ideal environment for an ambitious lawyer who wants to develop quickly without the more rigid structural constraints of some larger onshore firms.
The role promises an attractive low-tax salary, benefits and a relocation allowance. You will need at least two years' corporate experience gained from a good UK or equivalent law firm. City experience is welcome but by no means essential and lawyers with a background in strong regional firms or in other common law markets are encouraged to apply.
The Channel Islands
For a city-based lawyer who thrives on big-ticket work but craves an escape from the rat race, few places compete with the Channel Islands, home to two of the world's premier offshore financial centres. Jersey and Guernsey have strong and highly competitive legal sectors, housing teams that number many alumni of the leading London or international outfits amongst their ranks. They do complex blue-chip work, in a nice environment without the trappings of a big law firm culture. Work-life balance tends to be good, leaving plenty of time to enjoy what is an enviable coastal lifestyle and London is only an hour away making it easy to get that city fix when (or if) you need it.
Interviews will take place by videoconference with start dates negotiable. Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with licenses (where applicable) and relocation, including temporary accommodation on arrival.
