Job Responsibilities:

Responsible with minimal supervision for Plant Engineering activities on multiple pieces of building infrastructure and production equipment
Develop and implement a Planned Maintenance (PM) Programme in conjunction with the Operations team
Identify and improve productivity opportunities through continuous improvement initiatives that are engineering related.
Identifying and implementing 5S improvements in the maintenance area and conducting audits on operational areas
Carry out all maintenance tasks in a timely manner to an high standard
Reporting to production supervisors for breakdown and shift hand over
Co-ordinate and supervision of Maintenance Apprentice and contractors engaged on engineering support projects whilst ensuring compliance with all company EH&S requirements
Creation of and maintenance of technical files for all equipment and to support method improvement activities
Responsibility for all related aspects of EHS.
To conduct quality inspections on maintenance work
Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
Deal with emergency and unplanned problems and repair
Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed
Recalibrating instruments
Keeping the Engineering Manager, QA&EHS Manager and Operations Manager informed of progress
To provide specific support for engineering projects.
To provide technical expertise for FMEA.
To provide support for problem solving activities taking place on site.
To develop, coach and train the Maintenance Apprentice to a competent skilled technician level
Support the Laboratory Technician with basic laboratory duties and responsibilities.Beneficial Skills & Qualifications:

HND or HNC and/or recognised engineering apprenticeship within a manufacturing engineering environment
Relevant qualifications and working knowledge of PLC control systems, pneumatic systems, Mechanical engineering and Electrical engineering
Qualified electrical engineer holding 17th edition (desirable).
Have experience in maintaining and repairing production machinery.
Electrical Installation experience.
Demonstrable experience of leading/participating in lean initiatives with quantifiable results
Strong organisation and time management skills.
Intermediate proficiency with MS
Office products, SAP experience desirable
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
High level of attention to detail
Ability to respond positively and proactively to change.
Effective critical thinking skills.Position Details:

Monday - Friday (no weekends)
8 hour shifts - rotating Days / Afters & Night
Basic Salary up to £35,000
