Practice accounts audit assistant manager ACA ACCA newly or part qualified Fareham accountancy practice
You will be working for a small friendly firm of accountants where you will be responsible for managing staff and own workloads, delegating to staff where necessary, monitoring and liaising with clients on accounts progress and updating managers where appropriate and assisting managers with a view to reducing their workload if required.
You will be undertaking the preparation of accounts to review level, and carrying out audits under the supervision of the Audit manager, as well as undertaking personal tax return preparation and corporation tax return preparation. Where required, you will oversee and deal with VAT returns, Bookkeeping, Payroll and Companies House matters and will be standing in for the managers when they are unavailable at meetings and with trainees.
You will ideally be newly qualified or part-qualified ACA or ACCA with a background in accountancy practice with the ability to work to strict deadlines and to produce work of a high standard and the ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively. You will be a clear and concise communicator with a polite and professional manner when dealing with clients, have a keen eye for detail and a strong competence and experience with IT packages including Microsoft Office, CCH Products, Sage Accounts & Sage Payroll, Xero and QuickBooks.
You will also need strong numeracy skills, a self-motivated attitude, the ability to work well within a team, be reliable and flexible and with the ability to confidently promote the firm to potential new clients at marketing and networking events.
