£35000 - £60000
Please note my client cannot offer VISA Sponsorship for this role.
Your new company
You will be joining an international, technology first business in a sector that is thriving despite the global pandemic. Backed by a Tech For Good private investment firm with 15 years' experience, they've opened the UK offices and plan to quadruple their headcount in 2021 - It's a great time to be joining.
The role offers the chance to work remotely 3/4 days a week, so you must be able to commit to commuting to Winchester which is in an excellent position for most areas in the South of England.
Your new role
The team is small but very capable. It's a lean start-up mentality where responsibilities are shared equally so platform independent Devs would fit will. Projects are centred around user driven development and there is great variety in what you will be working on. What you can be assured of is that you'll cover the full software lifecycle and there is an excellent % of greenfield work available.
With new products constantly being developed it's important to find people that are strong with integrations, and understand API's fully. There's a mix of bespoke integration work internally, and integrating with third party engineering business. Long term there is opportunity to flex and look at Virtual Reality and AI.
It's not somewhere you will be pigeon-holed and there is great autonomy and trust given to the Devs. This is a two-way agreement in regard to flexibility and you'll consider yourself highly self-motivated to help the team and business achieve it's ambitions.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates will also be considered that show an interest in the above technologies and would consider cross training. You should be a Senior level developer and consider yourself as technology agnostic, with a track record of picking up new OO languages (such as Java, Python, Go).
Regardless of your background, the expectation is that you support modern coding principles including CI/CD (they deploy using Kubernetes), a test first approach and producing clear documentation.
What you'll get in return
You'll join a team where work life balance is not an abstract culture, in fact quite the opposite as flexible and remote working options have been in play since day 1 here. With staff globally they've always been big virtual communication as well. They are looking to expand and take more dedicated office space this year for the times you are in with the team, and can be flexible with individual requests around holiday and other perks.
