Job Details

Role: Lead Frontend Developer

Location: Office in Central London (hybrid remote working model with 2/3 days remote work per week)

Reports into: CTO

Salary: £85-105k + Benefits

The company:

A small start-up with circa 15 employees based in Central London. Their product helps retired people explore career and extra-curricular opportunities so that they make the most of their retirement.

Why join:
  • Blank canvas! They're early on in their development so this is a great opportunity for you to have more influence & autonomy over the product direction.
  • Tech for good! Join a business that has a real beneficial impact on its users.
  • Great flexible / remote working options!
  • Lovely culture which celebrations collaboration and support!

The role:

Take ownership for the frontend development of our product, working very closely with the CTO to define the product roadmap and technical direction for the business. You will work alongside a Lead Backend Developer, each taking ownership for your own teams as they grow. You'll know everything JavaScript (Node / React) and will be a lead in every sense of the word (ie knowledge of testing / monitoring / performance etc). Strong interpersonal skills are extremely important for this role, as we're looking for you to help manage / scale your team.

Our tech stack: Node, React, React Native, WordPress, Python, AWS (CloudWatch / EC2 / Elastic Beanstalk / CDK / API Gateway / CloudFront) and more!

We don't expect you to have worked with all the above, so don't be put off if there's something there you've not worked with before!

If the above sounds of interest, please do get in touch!
