Contract: Volunteer - 2 year commitment

Hours: 7 hours per fortnight

Location: London

Salary: Unpaid

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Assessment Doctor to volunteer in our London centre and provide voluntary clinical services alongside our Multi-Disciplinary team. Whilst volunteering you will perform holistic health assessments of Freedom from Torture's service users, identifying their health needs, whether related or unrelated to torture. The voluntary services which you provide will empower service users by helping them to gain a better understanding of their health problems and how to access relevant care from their GP'sor other NHS service providers.

It is therefore essential that you have an depth understanding of the NHS and social care in the UK you must be a Qualified Medical Practitioner (MB BS or equivalent) and you must have full GMC registration and a valid current licence to practice.

The successful candidate must also have extensive knowledge and experience of working with individuals who have suffered physical and psychological trauma and must have the ability to convey messages effectively, tailoring delivery to the needs of recipients.
