A Primary School in Dewsbury (WF13) are looking for a teacher with experience in KS2 to take their Year 6 class from May 2021. If you have KS2 experience, have delivered year 6 SATS and are looking for a full-time role from May 2021 into the next academic year then see the details of the role below.

The role

The school need a teacher to take the class from May 2021 until the Christmas holidays. This is a maternity cover and has a chance that it could be extended if the Teacher decides not to come back full time.

The class

The behaviour at the school is on the whole good, and the children are polite and conscientious. As pupils will have been out of school for some time behaviour may be challenging to manage initially however the class had very few issues with this in year 5. The school would like someone who can be firm but fair with these children and get them back into a school routine as soon as possible, as this is the most effective means of keeping them on task, so the school needs someone who is confident in their behaviour management of young pupils.

The school is a 2-form entry primary school in WF13 (Dewsbury) which is a GOOD school who are looking to become OUTSTANDING over the next 24 months. The Head Teacher has been at the school for the last 6 years, so knows the school well and has established a good and enthusiastic staff team. The school is very easily accessible by car or bus, and there are plenty of parking spaces available.
