We are looking to recruit SEN teaching assistants for the Bodmin area. This job role requires at least 1 years experience working with SEN individuals. You will be required to support them in both educational and personal development learning. You must be a caring, understanding individual to take on this journey who is easy to trust, in order to build a strong relationship with the student.
You will need to be creative in your approach to learning and understand that conventional learning may not always suit the student. You will need to support the student by ensuring you fully understand the task set so you can explain it in a very clear, simple manner to the student. You will need to work well within a team as you will need to discuss the progress and needs of the student with the class teacher and SENCO.
You may be required to work outside of the classroom to help the student stay engaged with their learning, this can include quiet side rooms, walking around the school grounds or outside trips.
The hours will be (phone number removed)pm Monday to Friday term time. This is a full time temporary contract.
The ideal candidates will be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning Opportunities Policy. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
