Cloud Platform Engineer - Birmingham - £60K-£70K

I'm on the lookout for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join one of the UK's most popular brands situated just outside of Birmingham City. They have dominated their market for the past 3 years running and continue to do so by being a completely tech-led business.

Your career, attitude, skills and mindset will grow with the company and are one of the most important aspects we are looking for. You will be given training, mentorship and support to help you to add new skills and develop existing ones.

This position will of course be fully remote. Post Covid-19, if you'd like to go into the office a few times a week / to see the team, you're more than welcome to.

The Role

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scaleable and reliable Cloud-based Infrastructure and Architecture.

Working closely with the application development team, you will provide top quality guidance around the cloud and its architectures, along with ensuring they can build reliable and effective build and deployment pipelines.

You will be responsible for writing clean code in a collaborative, Agile team. Be open, engaging and innovative with your approach as your career grows.

Operating in a TDD environment, you will be confident that with every release the infrastructure will maintain the highest standards.

Required Skills
  • Cloud Platform experience - (Ideally Azure)
  • Containers - (Docker / Kubernetes / AKS)
  • Scripting - (PowerShell / C# .Net)
  • CI/CD Pipelines - (TeamCity / Octopus)
  • Infrastructure as Code - (ARM Templating)

Beneficial Skills
  • Modern monitoring and alerting tools - (Grafana / Prometheus)
  • Azure Blueprints / AZ CLI
