An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Officer to support the day-to-day management of the Garden House Hospice and Isabel Hospice monthly payroll. Reporting to the People Director within our new Shared People Service, you will work alongside the current payroll officer with responsibility for collecting, calculating, entering data and ensuring payroll deadlines are met.
You should be an experienced payroll officer, holding a payroll or finance professional qualification. A CIPP Level 3 qualification would be preferable. Your background will demonstrate experience of managing a payroll, using HR databases, pensions administration and compiling reports and analysing data. You have excellent computer literacy with attention to detail and an ability to identify potential areas of risk and opportunities to challenge processes and improve working practises. Ability to manage and prioritise a high, complex workload with good time management and organisation skills are essential for success in this role.
