Salary: £19,359 - £20,070 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

New College Swindon has gone through an exciting time of change since we have merged with Swindon College to become one College. Also, with the up-and-coming development of the successful 20M bid of the Institute of Technology, opening in 2022, which will be an inclusive centre for technical qualifications, higher apprenticeships and training for key technical roles, it's a really great time to be joining us. School and Community Liaison Advisor - The Role:
Do you have experience in a school or FE setting and working with 14-19 age group and enjoys engaging and building relationships with external organisations? Then we have an interesting role to join the team and to play a key role in promoting the college. You will organise experience days for Year 10 and Year 11 to ensure potential students receive an excellent event.
You will also provide careers advice and guidance to our current students.
School and Community Liaison Advisor - Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor recruitment profile of schools at each stage of the process - including applications, interviews and offers made and follow up non-attendees
- Help promote New College Swindon HE events into schools with sixth forms and other FE providers and ensure they receive up-to-date HE prospectus each year
- Assist with tours, guidance sessions and drop-in sessions to New College Swindon
- Support schools with interviewing year 11 at mock interview sessions
School and Community Liaison Advisor - Qualifications and experience required:
- Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) or commitment to gaining within 24 months of commencement of employment
- Level 3 Qualification is desirable
- Use of own transport and clean driving licence
- Understanding of Post-16 curriculum
